Psychological assessment with children and young people

Psychological assessment can be illuminating and assessment is appropriate where there are concerns about an individual's progress that cannot be easily explained or understood. There are many aspects of learning and development that can be assessed, and some specific difficulties that can be identified by psychological assessment.


Ultimately the aim of psychological assessment is to create positive change for the individual. When I undertaken assessment it forms part of a collaborative-consultation, so that we can work on what the assessment means for the individual and how best to meet their needs.
